MAOES (Movimiento de Agricultura Orgánica de El Salvador) was founded in 2007 as a coordination and consensus-building space for the different actors promoting and practicing organic agriculture in El Salvador. It is composed of producer groups, cooperatives, NGOs, professionals, and students committed to healthy food production, environmental preservation and regeneration, and human development. Mission
To promote organic agriculture as a strategy of transformation and integral development of agricultural producers and Salvadoran society through political advocacy, training and capacity-building, and the organizational strengthening of producers and consumers.
Relevance to Kaiserblick
The MAOES organic inputs manual (2022) is the primary practical reference for Organic Farming inputs applicable to Kaiserblick Specialty Coffee’s transition to organic cultivation at Finca San Cayetano.
