Global Coffee Awards

The Global Coffee Awards (GCA) is an annual specialty coffee awards ceremony recognizing roasters and producers from around the world. It is co-organized with the Producer Roaster Forum (PRF) and held on the evening of Day 1 of PRF, at the PRF venue.
The 2026 ceremony took place on March 26, 2026 at the Hilton Hotel, San Salvador. The evening included a three-course dinner with full beverage service, shared tables for networking, and culminated with the announcement of the “Best Roaster in the World” award. Dress code: cocktail (black tie optional).
Separate tickets were available for the dinner and ceremony, independent of the main PRF admission.
GCA is coordinated by PDG Media (the same organization behind PRF and Perfect Daily Grind).
El Salvador Winners
Best Roastery El Salvador 2025: Academia Barista Pro (ABP), San Salvador. ABP is the only known SCA-authorized training center in El Salvador and the most credentialed local roastery. (source: Academia Barista Pro (website, crawled 2026-05-16))
Relevance for Kaiserblick
GCA creates a concentrated moment during PRF when the global roasting and producing community is gathered in one venue. For Kaiserblick, attending the GCA dinner at a future PRF edition would provide networking access to senior decision-makers from European roasteries in an informal setting — higher quality engagement than the convention floor alone.
