El Salvador connection — Piero Cristiani
Piero Cristiani is the key person for Kaiserblick’s approach to Café Imports. His background:
- Grew up in El Salvador; family has been in coffee for over 100 years
- Spent childhood visiting Finca El Aguila in Los Naranjos, Santa Ana, with his grandmother
- Was present at the first Cup of Excellence El Salvador in 2003 and facilitated early origin trips
- First contact with Café Imports was on an origin trip to El Salvador
- Produced a single-estate lot from Finca El Aguila in the 2010/2011 harvest
- Adriana Rehn (sales) also lists El Salvador as one of her “annually returning favourite lots”
El Salvador has a dedicated origin page at cafeimports.com/El-Salvador, confirming it is an active and institutionally important origin for the company.

Selling to Café Imports
Café Imports is a buyer as well as a seller — their European contact form includes the option “I want to sell you green coffee.” This makes them a viable target as both a distribution partner (they sell Kaiserblick’s coffee to their roaster clients) and as a direct green coffee buyer.
Contact for selling: europe@cafeimports.com or via the contact form. Given Piero Cristiani’s ES roots, he is likely the correct internal contact once interest is established.
WoC Brussels 2026 notes
- Café Imports is a regular exhibitor at World of Coffee and likely present in Brussels
- Piero Cristiani is the ideal point of first contact given his ES background
- Angle: appeal to Piero’s family legacy in Salvadoran coffee; position Kaiserblick as the next generation of ES quality
